Welcome Birders,

Our next meetup will be at Charleston Slough. We will walk along marshy areas in hopes of seeing several different kinds of ducks, shorebirds, the all too familar canada geese, egrets, herons and several other passerines.

We will bird approximately 2 hours.

Please bring the following:
Binoculars
Light-colored clothing so we don't scare off the birds!
Water and snacks
Sunscreen/hat

Directions: go on Hwy 101 and take the San Antonio exit going east. Follow San Antonio Ave. until it turns right and becomes Terminal Blvd. There are places to park all along the left side of Terminal Blvd.

    I will update my "MAY BE" closer to the meeting date... ,hopefully, to "YES". It will be my first birding and will do it with a camera. Leo

    • “ Charleston Slough was a great area for birding yesterday! We saw over 35 different species including many ducks, shorebirds, herons, raptors and passerines. It was fun getting to know the other birders and spotting the birds on a warm, sunny morning. ”
    • “ Beautiful day. Some new members attended, they were interested in bird watching and pleasant to talk to. Migration in on and we benefited. We saw 30+ different types of birds adn a lot of birdwatchers were out enjoying the scenery. Another great day. ”
