Welcome Birders,

Our next meetup will be at Coyote Hills Regional Park. We will walk along a path surrounding marsh areas in hopes of seeing hawks, ducks, geese, white pelicans, egrets, herons and several other passerines. Perhaps we'll see some interesting fish and wildlife, as well!

We will bird approximately 2 hours.

Please bring the following:
Binoculars
Light-colored clothing so we don't scare off the birds!
Water and snacks
Sunscreen/hat

Directions: from the Peninsula, cross the Dumbarton Bridge and exit at the first exit: Thorton Blvd./ Paseo Padre Parkway. Turn left on Paseo Padre Parkway. After less than a mile, turn left on Patterson Ranch Road which shortly reaches the Park entrance.

You can avoid the parking fee if you park outside the Park near Patterson Ranch and Paseo Padre. There is a paved bicycle path that parallels Patterson Ranch into the Park.

Our next meetup will be at Almaden Lake Park. We will walk along the lake and look out for waterfowl, raptors, herons, egrets, grebes and passerines.

We will bird approximately 2 hours.

Directions: go south on 85, then take the exit toward Almaden Expressway. Turn left at Emporium Way and then turn right at Almaden Expressway. Next, turn left at Coleman and go about 56 feet until you reach the park. Take your next right on Winfield and park on the street. We will meet at the corner of Winfield and Almaden Lake Dr. at the gate (entrance to the Park).

Our next Meetup will be at Arastradero Preserve. We will walk on a path and next to a pond and hopefully see several passerines, ducks, coots, grebes and raptors!

- sturdy shoes
- a field guide to birds (if you have one)
- binoculars (if you have a pair)
- pen, notebook
- a Fanny Pack/Backpack (to keep your stuff in)
- snacks

Directions: from Hwy 280, exit Page Mill Road and drive west about 0.3 mile. Turn right onto Arastradero Road, continue about 0.5 mile and turn right into the parking lot.

Directions: To get to this point directly, take the San Antonio Road exit from Hwy 101 and head northeast. The road turns right at Terminal Blvd. Parking is available along Terminal Blvd.

Turn left on Paseo Padre Parkway. After less than a mile, turn left on Patterson Ranch Road which shortly reaches the Park entrance.
Drive about 1.5 miles more, past the entrance kiosk and Quarry Staging Area, to the trailhead at the end of the road (near the Visitor center). There is a $5.00 parking fee. We will meet near the Visitor Center.
