Northern Manhattan Outside, or NoMO for short, is a group for New Yorkers to enjoy whatever gets us out into the great outdoors of Manhattan. … The walks are typically 2 miles long, and are organized around seasonal themes, such as vernal pools, birdwatching, fall foliage, etc.  Occasionally, we will offer a longer hike at a preserve that can accommodate it, such as the Francis Carter Preserve or Tillinghast Pond Management Area, or at one of our partners' conservation areas.  The length of time varies from group to group, but generally we'll hike at an easy pace that invites exploration and discovery.  Leashed dogs are welcome, but ple …
